Intense Watercolors from Photographs
(Intermediate- Advanced)
There are many reasons for wanting to paint from a photograph; having wonderful photos from your travels, inclement weather, or time limitations. However, painting from photos can often prove to be a challenge.
Finding ways to interpret the photo and bring life, movement, and originality to the painting are focal points of the workshop. She will encourage the student to think about using new color combinations, layering techniques, glazing and negative shape painting.
Carole will also demonstrate how to create excitement and drama at the center of interest using strong value and color change. She will give a demonstration in the morning and allow time for the students to work on their own paintings in the afternoon. There will be a fun and lively critique at the end of the session. |
